DIRECTIONS

Burning a pillar palm candle is a bit different than burning our soy wax jars. The first time you burn your candle, you will want to only burn 1 - 1 1/2 hours (add 1 hour of burn time to each extra inch of candle - for example a 4 inch diameter candle will need to burn closer to 2 1/2 hours for the first burn) to create your memory burn. This will ensure that the candles regularly burns down the middle.

Although it is nice to make the first burn go all the way out to the edge, this can create a too hot of wax pool as the candle burns down causing a "blow out" on the side of the candle. Remember if you are burning pillars side by side, this will create extra heat so be sure to monitor heat and wax pools and distinguish and allow to cool before relighting.

Always be sure to burn your pillars on a fireproof dish. Should a blowout occur, most traditional candle holders lack the capacity to contained leaked wax.
