Balsam Fir (abies balsamea) is also known as Canadian Balsam. Balsam Fir Essential Oil has a scent reminiscent of the Christmas tree and is said to enhance a feeling of harmony and goodwill. It has the balancing effect of feeling grounded and uplifted at the same time, increasing intuition and shifting emotional blocks, with a toning effect on the nervous system.
The essential oil has antispasmodic properties that can soothe sore muscles and joints when used in a liniment and makes an effective massage oil for the lower back. For skin care, Balsam Fir Essential Oil has a drying effect on oily and acne-prone skin.
